You get both, a private lesson in which I will talk you through the process of mixing down your track professionally and the actual Mixdown, made by myself in my analog and hybrid Environment including the high grade analog machines listed below.

This way you learn in the lesson and receive a finished analog product at the end as well, for a discounted price than. booking both separately.

The track is finished. The music is all there but it does NOT sound perfect yet? Would you maybe like to send your track through some analog machines? Does the track need some more warmth or maybe clarity? Is there a problem in the low-end, or does it sound “dull” or “muddy”? Maybe a hardware compressor would sound better than your Plug-in? Do the transients still need some work?

Many questions come up before any music is ready for mastering…!

With this service I am offering mixing and engineering your music depending on your individual wishes and needs without changing the music itself. I mix on a high-quality 1985 broadcast STUDER 970 32 Channel analog Mixing Console, fully recapped and regularly serviced. For dynamics and Sound-Engineering I have an array of analog gear to choose from, ranging from modern German engineered ELYSIA to vintage tube-designs in the likes of Thermionic Culture or HCL.

Mixing-down your material is absolutely crucial and often more important for the sound itself than mastering. Many issues should be fixed BEFORE and not in the mastering-process so that the mastering engineer can fully focus on getting your material perfectly prepared for which ever medium its going to be released on (Files, or physical Digital or Vinyl). I work in close collaboration with a few mastering-studios to make sure that any issues are fixed before your music goest to mastering. Besides my close partners I am also happy to work together with any other mastering studio of your choice.
